What is the difference between a private party room event and full venue event?
Private party only gives you and your guests access to the party room/sandbox area. Full venue means the store is closed to the public, giving you and your guests full access to the public sandbox and amenities for a true private experience.
Party Reservation Questions
How far should I book?
Weekend dates typically book up 4–6 weeks in advance, especially in spring and summer. Weekday parties can usually be booked with 2–3 weeks' notice. We recommend booking as early as possible to get your preferred date.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
A deposit is due when you book, and it goes toward your total party cost. If you cancel, the deposit is forfeited.
When will I need a final count for my party?
We will reach out to you the week before the big day. We will ask for a guest count and send you a link to our waiver for your guests to sign. The final payment is due at the time of the party.
Are waivers required for parties?
Yes, waivers are required for all guests who are attending the party.
Can we host a birthday party without reserving a party room?
Unfortunately, not. Celebrations with food, cakes, cookies, or presents need a party reservation.

Deposit Requirements
A deposit is required to reserve your event and is applied toward the total cost.
Party room reservations require a deposit of ½ the chosen event; the deposit is non-refundable.

Free construction themed plates, napkins and forks included. Every child will also recieve a juice box or Capri Sun. You are welcomed to bring your own decorations, food, cake & refreshments. Countertop prep area & fridge access included.
Any addtional kids are $20 per participant. All participants must fill out a waiver.

FAQs
What is Carter’s Sandbox?
Carter’s Sandbox is an indoor play facility for kids, featuring a giant
sandbox containing 16 tons of sand. We provide sand toys, as well as
facilities for hosting private birthday parties and events. Tonka
trucks, shovels, pails, and more are available to help kids get creative
in the sand.
Are waivers required, and who must sign them?
Signed waivers are required and must be completed by the attending and
responsible parent or guardian of the child or children participating in
the sandbox activity.
Everyone over 18 must have their own signed waiver. This includes adults
who do not have young children attending, such as grandparents, aunts,
uncles, and friends. All attending minors must be listed on the present
adult’s waiver, including babies and infants who are not participating.
Are reservations required?
No. Reservations are only required for birthday parties and private play
sessions.
Can parents or guardians play in the sandbox with their kids?
Yes! Every child receives admission for two adults as part of the sand
play price. Additional adults are $5 each.
However, due to building occupancy limits, management reserves the right
to limit the number of parents or guardians so that more children can
play in the sand.
Are there sandbox rules?
Yes. Please follow these rules while using the sandbox:
Can we bring our own toys?
Carter’s Sandbox provides a wide variety of toys for children to use, so
there is no need to bring your own toys. We have you covered!
Does Carter’s Sandbox allow pets?
Carter’s Sandbox loves pets, but we want to keep the sand as clean as
possible. Therefore, pets are not allowed. However, service dogs may be
permitted at the discretion of management.
Can we drop off our kids to play?
No. Carter’s Sandbox is not a licensed daycare facility, and children
must be supervised by an adult.
Are kids allowed to wear footwear or socks in the sandbox?
No. Footwear and socks are not allowed in the sandbox.
What should my child wear?
Children should wear comfortable clothing that can get sandy. We
recommend avoiding nice or dry-clean-only outfits. Kids play barefoot in
the sandbox.
How does the sand get cleaned and sanitized?
The sand used at Carter’s Sandbox is commercially bagged and washed play
sand from The Bahamas. We are extremely careful not to allow any foreign
matter, such as food, drinks, candy, or dirt from shoes, into the
sandbox.
Every day, the sand is inspected, groomed, and watered for dust control.
Does Carter’s Sandbox provide food or drinks?
Carter’s Sandbox is not licensed to prepare or serve food or drinks.
Can we bring snacks and drinks with us?
Yes. Snacks and drinks are welcome but must be consumed in designated
areas. Children are not allowed to go in and out of the sandbox while
consuming snacks or drinks. They must wash their hands before returning
to the sandbox to play.
Does Carter’s Sandbox have Wi-Fi and a sitting area for adults?
Yes! If you would rather sit back and watch the enjoyment from the
sidelines, we have a sitting area for adults, free Wi-Fi, and charging
stations.
Does Carter’s Sandbox allow use of the facilities for daycare and school
groups?
Yes. Carter’s Sandbox can host your group event. Please call us to discuss
how we can collaborate and create a wonderful experience for your group.
Does Carter’s Sandbox have a sick policy for kids?
Yes. To protect everyone, we urge sick children or family members and
guests experiencing any of the following symptoms not to come to Carter’s
Sandbox until they are feeling better and are no longer contagious:
In addition, the required Carter’s Sandbox waiver prohibits any
parent, guardian, or child from using the facility if a known contagious
illness exists.
Is there parking?
Yes! Free parking is available directly in front of our building and in
the adjacent lot.
Can we bring our own food and drinks for birthday parties?
Yes. You may bring your own food for birthday parties. Carter’s Sandbox
has a refrigerator for storing your cake and ice cream.
About Our Sand
A Clean, Safe Environment
We brought in 16 tons of play sand!
Our sand has been washed and screened for softness and safety. It is free from contaminants, the grain size is uniform for better consistency, and of course it's super fun to play with!
